The second START webinar gives the floor to Latin America

The second free dissemination webinar prepared by the START project is again concentrating on the geology side of our activity. As many consortium partners have a strong relationship to Latin America counterparts, we have prepared a short trip across the Atlantic to get the pulse of what could be a possible synergy for START there. The title we chose for the event is "START looks Southwest", as that is the general direction to Latin America form Europe, and a subtitle is "Raw Materials and Thermoelectrics in Latin America".

In fact, this it the agenda of the webinar we will hold in the late afternoon of 26th April (to accommodate for the time difference between Central Europe and America):

START Webinar #02 - "START looks Southwest", 26th April 2023, 16:00-17:15 CEST – REGISTRATIONS OPEN

16:00 Welcome
16:05 Introductory remarks – F. Neves, START coordinator (LNEG, Portugal)
16:15 Fredy Guzmán Martinez, head of Environmental Projects of the Servicio Geológico Mexicano (Mexican Geological Service)
Critical raw materials in mining environmental liabilities: A review
16:40 Rafael Bittencourt Lima, geological researcher at CPRM - Serviço Geológico do Brasil (Brazilian Geological Service)
"Tetrahedrite as an accessory mineral in Brazilian mineral deposits”.
17:05 Questions and final discussion
17:15 End of webinar

As you can see, we have invited two very relevant colleagues from two different countries, that will cover two aspects that are very important for our project: critical raw materials and, specifically, the availability of tetrahedrite, our target materials for thermoelectric applications. Register and join the session to know more! To do that please use this link:

(it is strictly necessary to do it before the session!)

And do not forget that, as already explained, we will also hold a third event, probably on 31st May (afternoon), that will be dedicated to Europe. So stay tuned for more!
