The final edition of the START newsletter is now available for download.
As the project comes to an end on 31 May 2026, this last issue looks back at four years of work across the full thermoelectric value chain, from the recovery of mine waste to the development and demonstration of innovative, tellurium-free materials and devices. It highlights key achievements from all technical work packages, including:
- the sourcing and processing of mineral resources from mine waste
- the development of high-performance tetrahedrite-based thermoelectric materials
- the production and validation of demonstrator devices
- sustainability and life-cycle assessment results
- and the project’s innovation and exploitation strategy
The issue also covers START’s final events, training activities, and dissemination work, as well as the project’s long-term legacy, including the Sustainable Thermoelectric Alliance, the SETS service company, and the START Technology Marketplace.
This is the last newsletter edition, marking the conclusion of the project, just days before its official end, but also the transition towards continued collaboration and uptake of START results.
